This is an Independent short film made for pleasure.
Here is my first video in black and white.
These images were shot during a travel in New York City.
I wanted to create a video on this city which made me feel of incredible feelings.
Upon my arrival I was impressed by the visual and sound variety of this city. Really, sound is everywhere.
So I wanted to create this video as an experiment between sound and image where they progress together. I had to try to make that none of them “eats” the other one.
I envisaged this work to create relations and transitions between images by the movement by playing on various sound, break, restart, etc.
“I love working on this way”.
I didn’t try to tell a real story, it’s just about real… For me, this is a visual and sound creation made to share a personal experiment to the people who looks at it. I hope that the effect will work.
For the sound creation, I recorded sounds to NYC during moment when I didn’t shot with my camera. As a result, I think this is good to have more choice in the sound edition. There were days where I looked for a sound in the city. It was really exciting…

Shot on 7D with Zeiss 50mm 1.4, zoom H4N, edited with Protools 9 and Final Cut Pro 7.
